Rev. Brian S. Symonds serves as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of San Bernardino. Rooted in a lifelong engagement with the Presbyterian Church, Brian brings a passion for preaching, community connection, and relational ministry. He holds a degree from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary, and is completing a Doctor of Ministry at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Brian’s ministry experience spans hospital chaplaincy, campus ministry, and congregational leadership, including roles at Claremont Presbyterian Church and All Peoples Church in Cathedral City. Known for his engaged and collaborative leadership style, he is committed to helping congregations connect meaningfully with their communities and live out a relevant, outward-facing faith.

He is a devoted father and enjoys sports, movies, and time with his family.
